Let’s go for a walkabout in Port Salerno, a little harbor “town” 5 minutes by car away from Needlepoint Land.

Port Salerno Post Office

Here is the Post Office where I mail a lot of stuff to my customers and vendors (unless I’m doing UPS of course).

Post Office Parking Lot

This is the Post Office’s parking lot.  Not very big, but then again, that’s exactly what I like about living here!

Hmm.. wonder what’s past the boat yard?

Boat Yard Path

That ferris wheel, yondah, looks interesting… let’s go see.

VW Classic Beetle

Eww. There’s a bug along the way.

Yard Boat

Ferris Wheel

Now you’re talking.

Salerno Life

Life is good.

Seafood festival

Seafood tents

Ticket booth

Especially when there’s a Seafood Food festival coming up on Saturday. Insider tip:  you can pre-buy a ticket at Seacoast Bank for $5, or pay $10 at the gate.

‘Til then, there’s plenty to do.

Flamingo boat ride

Such as go for a Flamingo Catamaran ride.

Margaritaville II

When It's Time To Relax

Or partake in dock side libations.

Sailfish capital of the world

And idly slip into some alternate, Hemingway persona.

Arcade I

Arcade 2

Arcade 3

Aracde 4

Or stroll through a funky Arts & Crafts arcade, where the store owners must make what they sell.

Cupcakes and sandals

Or drop by the eclectic Gumbo Art Gallery, where I bought some charms and ordered a cupcake figurine (see above) with a custom mini flag that reads Erin In Needlepoint Land.

Hope you enjoyed this trip through the little slice of Paradise where I’m truly fortunate to have a lovely little shop!
